Colas Construction served as the General Contractor for the renovation of the Oregon Convention Center, a $32M project that included numerous upgrades to the center’s public spaces and ballrooms. The new design, inspired by Oregon’s landscape, included lichen-like carpets and forest canopy ceilings. The North Plaza on the Northeast corner was fully reconstructed to provide usable space and function to improve wayfinding for adjacent hotel guests and commuters alike. The upgraded center, originally completed in 1989, will continue to provide world-class service for today’s conference, tradeshow, and large community events. Due to the robust coordination and efforts of our team, the project was delivered two weeks early and completed in 2020.
