Regarded as one of Portland’s construction and development community’s rising stars, President & COO, Andrew Colas became a member of COLAS in June of 1999, serving as an apprentice to his father in the field. Upon completion of his degree from the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon, Andrew formally joined the company full-time where as a project manager, he developed the skills to successfully manage multiple projects.
Andrew currently leads the business development and operational teams at COLAS and has utilized his experience in the field to spearhead the redevelopment of COLAS’ project delivery, fiscal, estimating, safety and project supervision systems.
Andrew has experience on various project types including: Design Build, CM/GC and other general contracting projects. Driven by a collaborative and results oriented focus and armed with extensive experience and knowledge of the development side of the industry, Andrew leads in efforts to bridge the divide between the owner/developer and the project team.
A NE Portland native and lifelong community activist, Andrew works tirelessly to promote investment and job creation in underserved populations through his role at COLAS, the Colas Foundation Fund and on various boards and works with many community organizations.
