The Trimet Rockwood station is a CM/GC project that COLAS has been involved with since the project was awarded. The COLAS team has had to be extremely mindful of the tight site constraints. The MAX line also runs directly through the project site. All COLAS' employees and subs have had extensive safety training to ensure that the project is completed in the safest possible manner.
COLAS has been involved with several value engineering exercises to help mitigate project costs. One idea that the COLAS' team implemented was changing the tint of the glazing package rather then using a Solarban 60 product. This enabled the ownership team to save money while at the same accomplish project screening goals.
COLAS' strong dedication to quality control was extremely important to the Trimet project team selection of COLAS. The COLAS' project team is responsible for delivering all of the structural steel and glazing packages for all of the project canopies. This project will help to revitalize the Rockwood neighborhood by giving a much needed update to the Max Station. COLAS is extremely proud to play a role in the revitalization of the Rockwood neighborhood.
